What happens here
Take a 3/4 inch Apollo PEX expansion sleeve and slide it onto the end of the PEX pipe. Using a Milwaukee PEX expansion tool with a 3/4 inch fitting, insert the tool into the PEX pipe and expand it about 9-10 times. While the PEX is still expanded, quickly push it firmly onto the brass nipple installed at the water meter. The PEX will then shrink back onto the nipple, creating a secure and watertight connection. Hold the connection for a few seconds to ensure it seats properly.
