Installing My BendPak XPR-10AS Two Post Lift From Summit Racing! Is It Worth Doing It Yourself?

What happens here

Mike connects the electrical components, including a heavy-duty shut-off switch (disguised as a light switch for simplicity) to the lift's power unit. The microswitch is also wired up, which acts as a safety mechanism. The presenter notes that they are still missing some pulleys and retainers for the cables, but proceeds with other connections.

Goal: Complete the electrical connections for safe operation.

Tools and materials

  • Microswitch — Safety mechanism for lift operation
  • Pulleys BendPak — Cable routing (missing for now)
  • Retainers BendPak — Securing pulleys (missing for now)
  • Shut-off Switch — Providing an emergency power disconnect for the lift
  • Wiring — Connecting electrical components

mike's gonna be here on 11 to get going on some of the electrical stuff while uh me and logan finish up what we can while we still don't have two pulleys but we can do a lot more work up to that point before we need the pulleys so we're really getting it figured out today making some serious progress mike's got the wiring going it looks like a disaster right now but you know that's just how it'll be when you're doing stuff like this um i got to get to running some of the the safety cable lock systems and the actual cables still missing two pulleys however the way it looks like the way they bolt in that top piece should be able to be bolted down and take both of those pulleys out because it's got like these little you know it only bolts in here to lock in on the axle on one side and that bolt is accessible without picking that up i think it did on purpose so i can get one cable run and the other one uh we'll just have to wait you're probably the most qualified person that's ever used this thing and i also got the hoses ran up had to use a spark plug on the string method for that this is not tight or anything i just wanted to hook it up to hook to something so it wasn't rattling around on the floor anymore and just get an idea of where it goes this is a shut off switch it looks like a light switch but it's more heavy duty than that and someone in the comments said
