Installing My BendPak XPR-10AS Two Post Lift From Summit Racing! Is It Worth Doing It Yourself?

What happens here

The presenter lifts a heavy vehicle (Cadillac Escalade) onto the lift. This is done to bleed the hydraulic system and wear in the nylon pads. He notes that new lifts can be a bit 'jumpy' initially until they are properly broken in. After bleeding and cycling the lift several times, he demonstrates the smooth operation by lifting and lowering the arms. He confirms that the missing pulleys (ordered from a local supplier after issues with BendPak direct order) and retainers will be installed later. He mentions that the power unit is on the wrong side due to an assembly mistake, but it's a minor inconvenience.

Goal: Bleed the hydraulic system and perform final operational checks.

and someone in the comments said um because i asked for tips and suggestions when we picked the stick up someone said i forget who it was if you're in the comments let me know if it was you to put an electrical outlet on the lift post when you're installing it it's a genius idea and we're gonna do that and i don't know i brought it up to you you said that that was a really good idea never thought of it either oh hell yeah that was a great idea yeah we were just saying there's a there's a lot of comments that are like make you scratch your head that are really stupid but there's a lot of ones like that like whoever you are who said that i forget that help everybody so if you've got tips tricks anything like that say it if it's dumb we'll just laugh at it that's okay the good ones are worth it right yeah it is done now pretty much i guess i still have to put the lock covers on and um mike's gotta come back next weekend and wire up the rest of the uh plugs and stuff for that that top piece is still bent it's not gonna not gonna leave it on there but the micro switch is wired up um i don't know if i made this clear enough before if you didn't see the last video this lift was damaged and shipping beyond the point where someone could sell it to somebody so this is like what would end up in the scratch and dent aisle i don't know why i didn't end up in the scratch denial but i got it because it's messed up that's how that worked so the fact that it was missing pieces and damaged is not a representation of what this lift is if you buy one you get one that didn't get messed up this is just my demo and honestly i'm probably just going to mess it up even worse because you know it gets work done on it so i'm not really concerned about the scratches all in all putting this together was not fun if i could go back in time and redo it i would have called somebody to install it from the get-go because this took entirely too long to put together is it doable yes and is it really it's just frustrating sometimes i feel like i could have gotten more done if i just paid somebody else to do it and the amount of time that this took me to do it could have been done already we could have had cars on here getting worked on whatever but now i know how to put a lift in word to the wise if you do need parts for one of these i would recommend finding a local supplier to find it from because i did order a pulley from bendpak i had to sit on hold for an hour just to get to somebody that…
