Install Trim Pieces

What happens here

Install the top trim piece first, ensuring it is centered and level above the window. Use a nail gun to securely fasten it to the exterior wall. Then, install the vertical side trim pieces, making sure they are plumb and butt snugly against the top trim and the window frame. Secure them with the nail gun as well. Finally, install the bottom trim piece, ensuring it is level and provides a tight fit against the side trim pieces and the window sill. Drive nails into the trim at regular intervals to hold it firmly in place.
