Installing Exterior Window Trim. The Idaho Painter Way.
What happens here
After installing all the trim pieces, apply caulk to fill all nail holes and any gaps between the trim pieces, between the trim and the window frame, and between the trim and the siding. Use a caulk gun to apply a continuous bead of caulk. The video shows the use of 'Power Sealants' caulk. Immediately after applying the caulk, smooth it out using a wet sponge or your finger. This creates a clean, sealed, and professional-looking joint. Ensure all visible seams are properly sealed to prevent water intrusion.
Goal: Seal all gaps and nail holes in the installed window trim
