Installing Exterior Window Trim. The Idaho Painter Way.

What happens here

Measure the dimensions of the window frame where the new trim will be installed, specifically for the top, side, and bottom pieces. Use these measurements to cut the composite trim boards. For precise cuts, utilize a miter saw. The video shows the use of a Milwaukee miter saw. After cutting the trim pieces to length, use a router (like the Makita trim router shown) to create a decorative, rounded edge along the visible outer perimeter of each trim piece. This adds a finished look to the edges of the trim that will face outward.

Goal: Prepare the composite trim pieces to fit the window and have decorative edges
