so first things first the back of the truck is loaded down with tools i've got tons of projects going on on the farm and we need to use the tailgate as a workbench to work off of well we can't do that with the tailgate jammed up like this so i've got to take a flat tip screwdriver long flat tip and i've got to go back in here and there are telltale signs that this has happened before i'll show you you can see this is already dented up a little bit and what i got to do is get back in here with the screwdriver wiggle my way back here to the latch and pop it real quick okay so this side is good you can see it's separated right there just a little bit then we'll go on down to the other side and do the same thing basically stick our screwdriver back in here i can see the latch portion right in here we'll stick it back in and we're jimmying jimmying the latch pretty much is what you'd call this not to offend anyone named jimmy but that's it okay tailgate down now what we've got to do
