How To Stop Paint Overspray.

What happens here

When spraying near the ground or roofline, cardboard shields are essential. For ground-level painting, use a cardboard shield to protect footings and concrete from overspray. For painting soffits, fascia, or gutters, position a cardboard shield above the area you are spraying to catch any overspray that might drift upwards or onto the roof. The presenter recommends using older, paint-laden cardboard shields for roofline work as they are heavier and provide better stability. Once heavily coated, simply replace them with new ones.

Goal: Protect ground surfaces and roof from overspray.

fascia. when spraying, you know, gutters, sophets, or fascia, you could um end up getting a lot of overspray carry out um into the wind if you don't control your overspray, you know, spraying up in the air. So, when I'm spraying sophets or fascia, I'm just using my cardboard shield holder where I would actually be shooting the back side of the fascia or the gutters. So, We're not spraying the or painting the gutters on this house. So, I'm controlling the overspray from getting on my gutters just by using my cardboard shield. And when these cardboard shields, you'll start to get too much paint on them. I just set them out, let them dry, and then grab another one. And they're completely reusable. We use them for house after house after house. And eventually, they'll get to a point where there's so much paint on them. We use then they're pretty heavy. We use them as gutter shield gutter shields when we're painting our gutters to keep the overspray off the roof. [Music] So, I do actually have videos that actually show you how to spray gutters and keep the overspray off um the roof and actually how to paint gutters, but just going to show you right here. We just use cardboard shields and we typically don't use our new ones, but we use older ones cuz they got more paint on them and they're a lot heavier. But you just stack them up in your gutters just like that. And that's how you control the overspray from going on your roof.
