What happens here

The presenter attaches a 'socket saver' tool to a Ryobi cordless drill. This specialized tool is designed to ream out the interior of a PVC fitting, effectively removing any old pipe stubs and glue residue without damaging the fitting itself. He carefully inserts the spinning socket saver into the hub of the hot tub jet fitting, grinding away the old flexible PVC pipe material until the hub is clean and ready to accept a new pipe. Throughout this process, he also uses the saw and screwdriver attachments of his Leatherman multi-tool to help clear out accumulated plastic debris and ensure the hub is thoroughly cleaned.

Goal: A drill equipped with a 'socket saver' tool is used to ream out the remaining old PVC pipe material from inside the hot tub jet fitting's hub.
