What happens here

This video provides a comprehensive guide on how to replace an old kitchen faucet with a new Delta Touch2O faucet. The process involves shutting off the water supply, removing the old faucet components including the sprayer weight, water lines, and mounting nut. The new faucet is then installed, which includes guiding the hoses through the sink hole, securing the mounting hardware from underneath, connecting the hot and cold water lines with included check valves, and installing the electronic control module, sprayer weight, and battery pack. Finally, the newly installed faucet is tested for proper functionality and leaks.

hey folks that fix it guy here and today we're going to be changing out a kitchen faucet i've got a kitchen faucet that my friend is ready to get rid of and he said hey let's put something in a little bit nicer so he went out he bought a delta touch 2.0 you're going to have to check out some features on this thing so come along let's get to fixing [Music] [Applause] here's the new faucet we're looking at right it comes with a lot of different stuff you're going to want to just grab this you're going to want to read it okay so this right here is the touch 2o faucet setup right a little battery pack little um sensor setup in here this is a cool little faucet we're going to take out the old one we're going to put this in and i'll show you how to do it pretty simple first things first let's remove the old faucet so you're going to get back here and we're going to shut these valves off they're just quarter turn ball valves so that makes it really nice and easy you're going to want to take the weight off of this pull down type of faucet so you get that out of there so we're gonna have to take the uh faucet head off there is a little clip if you turn this over you can see it's two fingers like this that just pinch this piece in and this just pops this out right this isn't a moen faucet and they're really easy to take out and install so you just drop this down and that's actually going to allow you to go up top and pull out the sprayer head okay so you're able to just take this and just pop this bad boy right out okay so now we're going to right here and we just need to pop off both these supply lines [Music] these are just compression style supply lines so you're just going to get on there i like to use the small little adjustable jaw for this so next we're going to get up here there's a little cover plate on this that way you don't destroy your sprayer stuff so this little piece right here you're going to want to just remove that should screw off so typically moment has a deep socket that allows you to take this nut right here off well i don't have one of those right now and there's not one here in the cabinet so we're just gonna end up taking this off with a little adjustable jaw [Music] just kind of have to get this in there any way you can and start listening right it's nice to have some of these little tools i'll put a link in the description box below um this little set they happen to be really thin they're really nice to get into places like this they totally just help in a pinch right and once you get that loose and you can hook that up if you guys like the content please subscribe to the channel click that like button you know we're just trying to help people and we want to continue to do that okay so that's off and now we'll just be able to pop this out and we're just going to clean this hole off a little bit all right so just make sure that's all clean and you're ready to put something back on there so then we're just going to grab the new faucet and it's kind of all ready to stick in the hole right so you just want to take this there's a lot of stuff be careful and we're just going to stick this down in this hole the handle is going to go on the right side there's a little indicator light that's going to go in the front if you get down here you can actually see that says delta that's going to be right in the front so it's okay that it's not sitting in the hole straight you can see it's not setting in the hole straight but once we get underneath and we start putting it together it's going to be good so we're going to grab this package of stuff right here and it's going to have all the accessories to actually hold this faucet in place and so we're not going to end up using the the cover plate because we're going with a single hole option so you don't need these two things we're going to use this this is actually for the single hole mounting it's actually going to make this really nice and really easy and we're going to need this nut right here and delta actually comes with their own little wrench as well so we're going to be using this bad boy this is going to make putting it in just a little bit easier right it's better than trying to put my little adjustable jaw in there to tighten this up okay so you can see this right here it is all kinds of stuff going on so then the next thing you want to do is you want to find this piece right here this is actually to the sprayer and you want to pull that out so we're going to go up top and we're going to pull that sprayer hose out of there it's just gonna give you a little bit more room [Music] okay and so you have that out of the way now this makes this a lot easier to put on right so now you're able to just take this you want to go up here to this threaded piece and you just pop this on it just kind of holds around all these other pieces and just slips right up take this nut and do the same thing with it i like to get this on as much as i can with my fingers it seems to go a lot easier and then we'll just finish tighten it up with that little wrench they gave us and then we're going to go up top and make sure that everything's straight okay and so now that's kind of tight right we just want to make sure we get it positioned where we want it this piece right here actually has a gasket on it you don't need to put silicone or plumber's putty on there it's going to make a watertight seal and we're just going to go down below and we're going to finish tightening this up so then the next thing we're going to do is we're actually going to take our six in one phillips head and we're going to tighten down these two screws and when you tighten these two screws down it actually is gonna push on that brass adapter right there it's gonna push on that brass nut right there and it's gonna allow this thing to just really lock in place and we're going to rock and roll [Music] so you always want to read the instructions for example you know this hot and this cold you think you're just going to hook these up to the lines but if you read they actually want to install these little check valves first so we're going to go ahead we're going to install these on our shut off valves before we hook the lines up to them and so they're pretty simple they just have that little insert right it's got a little washer in there and these are just going to screw right on just go ahead and slap the other one on too while we're here oh so they're kind of two-piece right it's it's like so these little things they're kind of two-piece you can see that there is a little check valve style set up in there and then it also has this little insert and it's just like a compression fitting right this is just like a brass and rubber ferrule right and so it's just going to crimp down on both sides and create a good seal so so just take this and pop this back in place and then get her put on now we're able to put these on you want to make sure that your bend is getting your supply line away from here right so i like to just take it and kind of bend it out of the way so right now it's out of the way go to hand tight [Music] and then we're going to do the same thing on the other side okay and so now you want to turn the lines on you want to make sure your valve shut off up top for sure and we're going to stick a picture under here make sure that it's direct the water is directly going in it because we want to run some water through this thing and so very trickily here [Music] all right we want to flush this a little bit we got water going through there good to go that's good to rock and roll and now we're able to pull out this stuff and we're able to start installing the rest of this so now you're looking at installing this piece so this piece is going to go face up we've got another little attachment that's going to clip that on to it and then i'll show you how to hook the rest of it up so we'll come over here and just try to show you everything we can so now we're going to come over to here you're going to take this piece that has this little setup right here on it and we're going to just push this on as far as it'll go right and so you've got that pushed up in there and then this is actually just going to clip right over it clicks right in place oh that's gonna be off to the side a little bit but it should still be fine all right we need to clip this onto some metal so we're gonna get up in here and we're going to [Music] go back behind everything else get it out of our way and then we're just going to clip this right on to that threaded piece so you just clip that on there and that is going to be hooked up right there all right so we got that hooked up back in there that's out of our way okay and so now as we get to right here you'll see that we need to take this little plug-in right here it's like looks like a little audio plug-in we'll come around this other side and we'll just take this and we'll plug it in right here and that plugs in place right there that would be nice and out of our way little piece right here will be out of our way at some point this is for the battery setup right here and so now we're gonna take this hose and we're gonna feed it back down in through there get that rolling we've got enough down there and so now we're gonna grab this weight it sounds like a maraca or something but we're gonna go through right here and get my hand out from that p-trap and then this piece just actually slides right in the bottom so you just push it up until it stops there's another little blue piece right here that i don't know what it looks like but it it works exactly for this you just take that and just this clips right in place like so and it allows it to where that's not going to be able to pull apart and so now you're able to take your sprayer and you're able to let it drop down and hang and you're pretty much good to go underneath here the only thing we have left to do is hook up the battery pack so on this outside cover it tells you which way the batteries are supposed to go and then in this thing right here as long as you have three going one way and three going the other you're going to be good shows right there on the top two how it goes in and then it just pops into place clips on you want to just kind of set this out of the way and so you can see over here that i kind of just set it up out off the floor too i've noticed that putting these on the floor sometimes like if there's a spill then you end up getting water in this case and that's not a good thing so i just like to keep it up a little bit off of something before we turn this on you can see if you touch this you can see that a light comes on right so we go ahead we open this up and now you don't actually have to move it you could keep this exactly where you wanted you could put it say in between you always wanted it to be warm water and then all you have to do is tap it to shut it off right it's a pretty cool feature and it doesn't do it on the sprayer head so you're able to pull down the sprayer head you're able to switch the spray it's got a nice strong spray and it's good to go we're hooked up we'll look for leaks on the bottom make sure everything's good okay folks so that is installing a kitchen faucet this one just happens to be a delta touch o2 right super cool faucet if you have chicken hands or pork hands or you know greasy fingers well then you can just slap it with your elbow and it will work out really well it's it's a pretty cool feature i really hope you guys enjoyed the video i'll put a link in the description box below for the tools and the materials used if you could please subscribe to the channel click the like button we would greatly appreciate it we're just trying to help people and we hope that we're doing that thank you very much and we'll see you again real soon
