Prepare New Flexible PVC Section

What happens here

To provide necessary working space and flexibility, the presenter first manually removes some of the insulation foam surrounding the hot tub pipes. He then measures the required length for the replacement flexible PVC pipe section to fit between the existing pipe and the cleaned jet fitting. After marking the cut points, he uses a marker to delineate the insertion depth for the new pipe into the fitting and a coupling. Both ends of the new flexible PVC pipe are then cleaned by sanding the exterior surfaces and applying Oatey Purple Primer. This primer prepares the PVC for optimal adhesion with the cement, while sanding removes any surface contaminants or imperfections. He also cleans up some of the initial purple primer application with a knife and sandpaper to ensure a clean, effective surface.

Goal: A new section of flexible PVC pipe is measured, cut to size, sanded, and primed with purple primer on both ends.
