Apply and Wipe Whitewash Glaze

What happens here

Once the gray stain has completely dried (approximately two hours), apply the prepared whitewash glaze mixture to the boards using a latex brush. Apply a nice, thin, even coat. Immediately after application, use a clean rag (like a cut t-shirt) to wipe off the paint/glaze. The amount of paint you wipe off will determine the final look – wiping more will reveal more of the gray stain underneath, while wiping less will result in a more opaque white finish. Work quickly and consistently to achieve an even distressed effect across all planks.

Goal: Apply a thin coat of the prepared whitewash glaze mixture onto the dried gray-stained boards and immediately wipe off the excess with a rag to create the final distressed look.
