Remove Old Latch Mechanism

What happens here

After removing the doorknob handles, locate the latch plate on the edge of the door. There will be two smaller screws holding this plate in place. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws. Once both screws are out, the entire latch mechanism can be pulled out from the side of the door.

Goal: Extract the latch mechanism from the door edge
