Align the central square spindle and the two threaded posts on the knob with the corresponding holes in the latch mechanism and the door. Gently push the exterior knob into place, ensuring the square spindle engages correctly. Then, take the interior doorknob (the side with the privacy lock). Align its central square hole and the two screw holes with the posts extending from the exterior knob. Carefully push the interior knob into place. Insert the two small screws through the interior knob's screw holes and into the posts of the exterior knob. Begin to hand-tighten them.
