HOW DOES A SHOWER HANDLE LOOK THIS BAD?? (And How I Fixed It Fast)

What happens here

Take the inner part of the new handle (the metal or plastic piece that directly engages with the valve stem) and slide it onto the stem. Ensure it is correctly oriented for temperature control. Then, place the decorative outer handle over the inner component. Locate the set screw hole (usually on the underside of the handle) and insert the Allen wrench. Turn clockwise to tighten the set screw, securing the new handle firmly in place. The video demonstrates this process by first installing a clear knob handle, then switching to a lever handle to show how it's secured.

Goal: Slide the inner component of the new handle onto the valve stem, then place the decorative outer handle, and finally secure it by tightening the set screw with an Allen wrench.
