Grid Goes down...what will you do for water? Installing a modern hand pump!

What happens here

Before lowering the pump, remove the temporary cap from the well casing. Place the custom metal guard/prop tool over the well casing opening. This tool will prevent the pump and pipe sections from accidentally falling all the way down the well. Carefully lower the assembled pump cylinder and first pipe section into the well, allowing the T-handle to slide through the opening in the guard/prop. Tie the blue and white braided rope around the pump head, ensuring a secure knot (like a slip knot or fisherman's bend) to act as a safety line. Ensure the rope is long enough to reach the surface even if the pump goes to the bottom of the well. Lower the pump until the top of the pipe section is just above the guard/prop.

Goal: Safely lower the initial pump assembly into the well and secure it.
