Grid Goes down...what will you do for water? Installing a modern hand pump!

What happens here

Tighten the remaining four nuts on the pump head base, alternating to ensure even pressure, until they are snug. These nuts engage a rubber piece that expands inside the well casing, firmly holding the pump in place. After securing the pump head, you can remove the safety rope from the pump base. Finally, unscrew the protective cap from the pump's spout and screw on the mesh filter. The pump is now fully installed and ready for use. Pump the handle several times to prime the pump and draw water to the surface. Observe the water flow. Push the handle all the way down and leave it, allowing any water above the weep hole to drain back into the well.

Goal: Test the pump and ensure all components are secured.
