Grid Goes down...what will you do for water? Installing a modern hand pump!

What happens here

Measure 24 inches from the top of the final PVC pipe section. Using a cordless drill with a 1/16-inch drill bit, carefully drill a small weep hole through the side of the pipe at the marked 24-inch point. This hole allows water to drain out of the pipe above the frost line when the pump is not in use, preventing ice from forming and damaging the pump components.

Goal: Create a weep hole to prevent pump freezing.
