What happens here

This project provides instructions on how to wire a power cord to a new garbage disposal that does not come with one. The process involves preparing the disposal's electrical compartment, installing a Romex connector for strain relief, stripping and identifying the wires of a salvaged power cord, and connecting them securely to the disposal's internal wiring using wire nuts and electrical tape.

Instead of actually buying a new cord attachment for a garbage disposal that doesn't come with a cord, we're actually just going to cut this off and we're going to use it. Give it the big old cut, pop that bad boy out, pull out the two connecting wires. You want to grab your Romax connector, take a pair of channel locks, some kind of pliers here, tighten this down. You're going to want to separate the wires. Separated. To go more now, you could just pull it, kind of like a twizzler, perfect. The ridge side is connecting to the white to the neutral. And the smooth side is actually connecting to the hot wire. And then agreeing obviously is going to the ground. That in there, through that right down. That way it stays in place. Let's take that ground. We'll just get that in there first. Get it nice and tight. We need some wire nuts. Start below the wire nut, tape up your wire nut. Just to make sure that everything is going to stay together there. Take that, pop that in there, pop this back on. And you're ready to install.
