What happens here

This video demonstrates a quick fix for a pinhole leak in a water pipe. First, the water supply to the leaking pipe is turned off. Then, any remaining water in the pipe is drained by opening faucets. A piece of hose slightly larger than the leak is cut. This hose piece is placed over the leak and secured with a hose clamp. Finally, the water supply is turned back on, and the repair is checked for leaks. This provides a temporary fix until a more permanent repair can be made.
