Shut Off Main Water Supply

What happens here

Before starting any plumbing work, locate your main water shut-off valve, typically found outside your home at the meter box. Use a meter key to turn the valve. Rotate it clockwise (righty-tighty) to completely shut off the water supply to your house. This is a critical first step to prevent flooding during the repair.
