Flip Frames and Extract Honey (Second Side)
At 10:50 in
Extracting the spring honey harvest....Fun and Educational! How small farms harvest honey!
What happens here
After the first side of the frames has been extracted, stop the extractor's spinning and carefully open the lid. One by one, remove each frame from the basket. Turn each frame 180 degrees (flipping its orientation) so the unextracted side is now facing outwards, and then place it back into the basket. Close the lid securely and repeat the spinning process, turning the hand crank with similar gradual acceleration to extract the honey from the second side of the frames. This flipping and re-spinning step is crucial for achieving maximum honey yield, particularly with radial extractors.
Goal: Extract remaining honey from the other side of the frames.
