EASY Skim Coat Application

What happens here

Begin by removing any wall decorations, light fixtures, or outlet covers. Carefully apply blue painter's tape (Frog Tape is recommended for clean lines) along the top edge of the baseboards and the bottom edge of the ceiling line. For added protection from sanding and mud, apply two rows of tape along the ceiling. Also, use paper and tape to cover the baseboards and drop cloths or additional paper to protect the floor from falling debris and compound.

Goal: Remove all items from the wall and mask off adjacent surfaces like baseboards and ceiling lines using painter's tape to prevent accidental damage or unwanted application during sanding and skim coating. Lay down drop cloths or paper to protect the floor.
