Install Metal Roofing
At 1:56 in
Dream Barndominium Timber Frame Front Porch Build, start to finish! Awesome!
What happens here
Before installing the metal roofing panels, a synthetic underlayment (ProArmor is shown) is laid over the tongue-and-groove ceiling. This underlayment provides an extra layer of protection against moisture. Once the underlayment is in place, the red metal roofing panels are installed. These panels are typically fastened with screws that penetrate through the metal, underlayment, and into the purlins. Proper flashing (e.g., ridge caps, eaves trim) is installed to ensure a watertight seal and a finished appearance. The final result is a durable, weather-resistant roof that complements the timber frame.
Goal: Provide a durable and weather-resistant roof for the porch.
