What happens here

Locate the wall studs and mark their positions. Secure the angle iron brackets to the wall studs using appropriate screws, ensuring they are level. Slide the wooden shelves onto the secured angle iron brackets, fitting the dado cut precisely over the metal. Drive screws through the pre-drilled holes in the top of the wooden shelves and into the angle iron to firmly hold the shelves in place. This method creates a sturdy shelf suitable for decor items. Finally, apply caulk along the seams where the shelves meet the wall to give a clean, finished appearance and further stabilize the shelves by preventing flex.

Goal: Secure the angle iron brackets to wall studs, then slide the wooden shelves onto the brackets and secure them. Finish by caulking around the shelf edges.

steps now this is the first time I've tried this method so it's a prototype it's definitely strong enough for decor but I wouldn't use this method on heavier things like books without creating some sort of supports on the sides as well I later filled the sides of the shelves with caulk and was surprised that that alone significantly took away any flex that was present again this is a prototype but sometimes you have to take a chance on an idea and see how you can perfect it later on ok
