Carpet Cleaner Down! Bissell SpotClean Pro broken hose fix..like new repair!

What happens here

Upon inspection, the rigid plastic fitting at the end of the hose reveals remnants of what the video identifies as ABS glue. To ensure a strong new connection, use a screwdriver to meticulously scrape out all the old, dried ABS glue from the internal threads of the fitting. Once the bulk of the old glue is removed, use a heat gun (such as a Drill Master heat gun from Harbor Freight) to gently warm the plastic fitting. This helps soften any remaining residue and prepares the plastic for better adhesion with new glue, making the surface clean and ready for reassembly.

Goal: Remove old glue and prepare the hose fitting for a secure connection.
