MYSTERY TOOL!...DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS??

hey folks that fix it guy here and today i got something pretty cool so a friend of mine also a plumber came into work and hooked me up with a plastic bag of tools all right and so i just wanted to talk about this like a couple of cool really old tools in here and then there's one that i don't even have a clue what it is and that's the one we're gonna focus on today because i really want some help figuring out what this is so come along let's get to finding [Applause] all right so bago tools i love it man i love when you get treasures dude right cool little pipe wrench crazy little mystery tool i don't have a clue what this thing is all it says is patent pending no numbers no nothing interesting cool old cutter check this bad boy out like i've never seen a cutter that opens the way this does like it's so interesting [Music] but cool made from chicago specialty right super cool we'll maybe we'll check this out we'll do a cutter comparison at some point we'll clean all this up make it look a little prettier uh this seems like it's a pretty nice tool and i bet it will stick around my shelves for a while and then last but not least we have a little another cheap cutter cuts from 1 8 to inch and an eighth right there's no sliding mechanism everything seriously is just twist and twist and twist and twist and twist and twist and twist and yeah twist your hand off all right super cool i wanted to show you real quick like i was looking around at this and i think that says bulls vice and tool or something don't mistake maybe we'll clean this up at some point but i do see the allentown pa engraved in there so awesome little tool made in america looks like i could take the whole thing apart we should be able to take that off slide the handle off we should be able to clean this whole thing up right we might have to pop this piece out and then pound it back in place to get it to stay get that to stay a bit on there but um this will be a cool little restoration tool at some point um and then this this is what we're talking about today right we will go ahead we're going to try to clean this up we'll look it all over i'll give you a dimension for this thing and i just want to know do you guys know what this is here's what we're looking at mystery tool like i don't know what it is somebody has got to be able to tell me i asked a plumbing form on facebook they didn't know and so all the guys at work they took their guesses they didn't know even the guy that i got this from didn't know what it was said he just had it in his bag for years never done anything with it so crazy so just show you real quick we're looking at about five and three quarters long the shaft itself is about three quarter inches wide this top part right here about an inch and three eighths by inch and a quarter um it's got that little groove slot it's got a little groove thing right here and then it has a what appears to be a button that is not functioning so let's spray this down a little bit see if we can clean it up and see if we can get it moving and i mean maybe that'll help jog somebody's memory as well and just also get it cleaned up for my sake if you guys like the channel get some answers help myself out too you know i love learning i'm a curious guy ew what's going on there pb blaster didn't want to come out just get that all nice and gobbed up right now and see all that stuff just kind of falling out of there well i am getting some movement out of it i wasn't getting any at all before so i think there's something to this it's definitely a little dirty see if we can get down in that crack right there just uh get down to that crack with a rag oh look at that got down in there and bam it actually once down in there it's hooked up and it definitely has a notch now to where you can hold this thing to the right and to the left and to the center huh interesting you can see there's a lot of years worth of bottom of the bag funk in this a lot of a lot of copper shavings not a 100 cleaned up i guess once that dries out maybe i could take some air to it and just try to get the rest of that stuff out of there it's honestly it's cold and raining i really didn't want to go out to the garage hey well it's all cleaned up for the most part right there's a little bit of dirt left in there that i couldn't get out but it'll work its way out eventually this will dry up and it'll be good we got it back to moving that's pretty impressive you can see there's three notches two right there third right there and it just allows you to put this at different angles like right center and then left i just don't know what it does all right if anybody's got an idea please let me know hit us up i'd love to find out what this is and so would some other people that i know
