What happens here
Once the hose fitting is thoroughly cleaned, apply a small amount of Oatey brand ABS glue around the outer ridge of the flexible hose and the internal threads of the rigid nozzle grip. Ensure you are wearing disposable gloves to prevent skin contact with the glue. Carefully thread the flexible hose into the nozzle grip. Note that this particular connection uses a left-hand thread, meaning you must turn it counter-clockwise to tighten. Reinsert the metal coil into the hose for structural integrity. Also, apply a small amount of plumber's grease to the O-ring inside the rigid fitting to help with smooth assembly and ensure a better seal, potentially prolonging its lifespan.
Goal: Securely reattach the hose to the nozzle grip using ABS glue.
