Budget Turbo Yukon XL "Uncle Rob" Oil Drain & Feed Install! (Logan's First Busted Knuckles)

What happens here

The project begins with the vehicle (a GMC Yukon XL) elevated on jack stands. The primary goal is to install oil feed and drain lines for a turbocharger. The front differential is blocking easy access to the oil pan, making direct drilling and tapping difficult. The host explains the need to move the front plastic valance to gain better access to the oil pan for drilling and tapping the oil drain line. The turbocharger and intercooler are already installed.

Goal: Assess vehicle layout and identify obstacles for oil line installation

Tools and materials

  • GMC Yukon XL GMC — The vehicle receiving the turbo oil lines
  • Intercooler — Part of the turbo system already installed
  • Jack Stands — Supporting the vehicle securely off the ground
  • Turbocharger — The component requiring oil feed and drain

pretty much the last major thing that uncle rob needs to run oil feed and the oil drain for the turbo so that's we're going to work on right now i'm not exactly sure what the plan is for the the drain i'm kind of lazy and i want this to be as easy as possible but there's a front diff in there that kind of blocks easy access to drilling and tapping the pan because i was just going to go about it you know drill the hole tap it and you know spray some crud in there change the oil to get the shavings out because yolo trying to avoid dropping the diff to weld that in are you not cold not really not yet not yet that's the key word yet but i'm thinking we'll start with the well i don't know i guess i'm just gonna have to go under there and start looking at stuff and decide what the plan of attack is
