Bringing this crusty 60 year old tractor back to life!

What happens here

Before bolting the planetary housing back together, apply a thin bead of Permatex Gasket Maker for Differentials and Transfer Cases around the mating surfaces of the housing. This creates a seal to prevent leaks. Also, apply Permatex Copper Anti-Seize Lubricant to the threads of all the bolts that secure the planetary housing. This prevents the bolts from seizing and makes future disassembly easier. Hand-tighten all bolts first, then use an impact wrench to fully tighten them, ensuring an even and secure seal. Finally, replace the old breather caps with new ones, as a damaged breather was a likely cause of water ingress and bearing failure.

Goal: Seal the planetary housing and prevent future water intrusion.
