Bit off more than I could chew with this farm water project!

What happens here

The presenter attempts to activate the solar well to pressure test the new water system. He explains that simply flipping a switch should initiate the pump if there's sufficient sunlight for the solar panels. Upon activation, he checks the connections for any leaks and expresses confidence in the leak-free assembly. He notes that due to recent cloud cover, the solar panels aren't generating enough power, preventing a full test. To ensure the pipes are purged of air, he drills a small relief hole at the end of the water line using a drill to allow water to spray out, confirming flow and indicating future operational readiness once the sun returns.

Goal: Activate the solar well pump, pressure test the new water system, and check for leaks.

Tools and materials

  • Drill DeWalt — Drilling a relief hole at the end of the pipe
  • Solar Well System — Pumping water through the installed lines
