Bit off more than I could chew with this farm water project!

What happens here

The presenter demonstrates draining a water-filled trench using the 'Smartbot Super 3600' submersible utility pump, powered by the 'OKMO 2000 Watts' portable power station. He highlights the pump's ability to handle muddy water and debris, noting it's designed for farm use. The pump features an 'auto-flo' sensor that turns it on and off based on water contact, which is efficient when using a battery power station. He connects the pump to a 150-foot water hose and points out the initial high water level in the trench (up to about 2 feet) that has been significantly reduced.

Goal: Remove standing water from trenches to allow for further work.

Tools and materials

  • Water Hose — Directing pumped water away from the trench
  • Muddy Water N/A — The substance being removed from the trenches
