Set up Feeders and Waterers

What happens here

To effectively feed and water the chicks, gather various types of feeders and waterers. A specialized chick feeder with a spinning bar at the top is useful for preventing chicks from roosting and defecating in their food. Another feeder shown is a metal trough with yellow plastic dividers. For watering, a quart-sized Mason jar with a screw-top waterer base is used. Crucially, add gravel to the waterer base to prevent chicks from drowning, as they can easily fall into open water sources. This basic setup ensures chicks have access to food and water without excessive mess or danger.
