What happens here

After about two to three weeks, as the Cornish Cross meat birds grow and become fully feathered, begin a gradual transition to remove heat from the brooder. Provide heat for only part of the day, allowing them to acclimate to cooler temperatures. They will naturally huddle together at night for warmth, mimicking their natural instincts. The goal is to gradually reduce their reliance on artificial heat as their natural feathering develops. The primary heat source will be removed, and a low-wattage fluorescent light can remain for ambient light, but not necessarily for heat.

Goal: Acclimate chicks to cooler temperatures before moving outdoors
