Introduce Chicks to Brooder

What happens here

Carefully unpack the chicks from their shipping box. Note that losing one or two chicks during shipping is normal, even for a healthy batch. Hatcheries often send extra chicks to account for potential losses. Once unpacked, gently place the chicks into the pre-warmed brooder. Expect them to immediately seek out the warmth of the heat source. After placing the chicks, gently dip each chick's beak into the waterer to teach them where to drink. They will naturally discover the feeder themselves due to their curious nature.
