BEST NO-NONSENSE EASY GUIDE to RAISING YOUR NEW BABY CHICKS with success!

What happens here

Fill the feeder with non-medicated chick starter feed. For meat birds, use a 24% protein mix. If raising layers, a 20% protein mix is suitable. It's best to use crumble-style feed for chicks. Position the feeder in the brooder, away from the heat source. To minimize mess, use a scoop to carefully pour feed into the feeder slots, ensuring any spills fall directly into the brooder rather than outside. For the initial feeding, use cardboard squares underneath the feeder and waterer to keep them stable and prevent tipping, which can create a mess and waste feed.

Goal: Provide initial feed for the chicks
