Step 7 · Secure the New Window

Once the window is properly positioned and leveled, begin fastening it to the rough opening. Drive screws through the window frame (or designated mounting flanges) into the shims and surrounding studs. Be careful not to overtighten, which could warp the frame. Space fasteners according to the window manufacturer's recommendations.
