Step 5 · Apply Flashing Tape

Apply flashing tape to the sill (bottom) of the opening first, extending it up the sides by about 6 inches. Then, apply flashing tape to the jambs (sides) of the opening, ensuring it overlaps the sill tape. Finally, apply flashing tape to the head (top) of the opening, overlapping the side jamb tapes. This creates a continuous seal against water intrusion.
