Step 7 · Install New Thermostat Mounting Plate

Position the new mounting plate over the existing wire opening. Use a level to ensure it is straight on the wall. Mark the screw hole locations on the wall. If the screw holes do not align with the existing ones, you may need to drill new holes. Use the provided screws and wall anchors (if necessary) to secure the mounting plate firmly to the wall.
