Step 3 · Inspect and Replace Remote Battery

Open the remote control and visually inspect the battery. If it appears corroded or damaged, replace it. Even if it looks fine, a weak battery is a common cause for a non-functioning remote. Replace the battery with a new one of the correct type and size.
