Step 6 · Install the Safety Sensors

Mount one sensor on each side of the garage door, typically near the bottom, about 4-6 inches above the floor. These sensors emit an infrared beam across the door's opening. If the beam is broken when the door is closing, it will automatically reverse to prevent accidents. Follow the manufacturer's specific mounting instructions, often involving brackets and screws.
