Step 7 · Install Cables and Pulleys

Attach the lift cables to the bottom corners of the garage door, usually via brackets. Route the cables up and over the pulleys located at the top of the vertical tracks or near the torsion spring assembly. Ensure the cables are not twisted and run freely. These cables will be used to balance the door when the spring system is tensioned.
