Step 7 · Disconnect Battery Charger

Once the charger indicates the battery is fully charged or you've reached the desired charge level, turn off and unplug the charger from the electrical outlet. Then, disconnect the black (-) clamp from the negative (-) battery terminal, followed by the red (+) clamp from the positive (+) terminal. This order minimizes the risk of sparking.
