Step 2 · Disconnect Battery From Vehicle

To prevent electrical shorts and damage to the vehicle's electronics, disconnect the negative (-) terminal first, followed by the positive (+) terminal. Use a wrench to loosen the terminal clamps. Ensure the cables do not touch any metal parts of the vehicle while disconnected.
