Step 4 · Set Charger Settings

Set the charger to the appropriate mode (e.g., 'standard', 'AGM', 'gel') that matches your battery type. Select the correct amperage or charging rate, often recommended in your battery's manual or on the charger itself. For most car batteries, a 2-10 amp setting is suitable for maintenance charging, while higher amps can be used for faster charging if the battery can handle it.
