You Won't believe how pretty this Live Edge table turned out...fresh off the mill!
What happens here
After rough sanding, switch to finer grits of sandpaper (180 and 220 grit) on the random orbit sander. Methodically sand the entire top surface of the wood slab, ensuring all previous sanding marks, especially swirl marks from the coarser grits, are removed. To confirm even sanding, use a lumber pencil to draw marks across the surface; continue sanding until all pencil marks are gone. This ensures a perfectly smooth surface for the finish.
Goal: Achieve a smooth, uniform surface free of imperfections.
