You Won't believe how pretty this Live Edge table turned out...fresh off the mill!
What happens here
After initial sanding of the flat surfaces, address the rough live edge of the wood slab. Use a random orbit sander with 80-grit sandpaper to smooth out the edges. For more intricate areas or particularly stubborn bark remnants, an angle grinder equipped with a sanding disc (flap disc) can be used to carefully remove material and shape the live edge, creating a refined yet natural appearance. Touch the surface periodically to gauge smoothness.
Goal: Smooth and refine the live edges of the wood slab.
