You Won't believe how pretty this Live Edge table turned out...fresh off the mill!
What happens here
Ensure the wood surface is completely clean and free of dust before applying any finish. Apply the first coat of Minwax Wipe-On Poly (Clear Satin) using a lint-free old t-shirt or rag. Pour a generous amount directly onto the wood slab and spread it evenly across the entire surface, including the edges. The wipe-on poly will immediately bring out the natural colors and grain of the ash wood. Allow this first coat to dry completely for about 3 hours in a shaded, well-ventilated area to prevent direct sunlight exposure, which can affect drying and curing.
Goal: Apply the initial protective and enhancing finish to the wood slab.
