World’s FIRST DEWALT Battery Powered Log Splitter! You decide if it’s Tough Enough!

What happens here

Place a pine log onto the 9-ton log splitter. Engage the splitting mechanism. First, split the log using the low-speed setting, observing the controlled force. Then, switch to the high-speed setting to experience faster splitting. Notice the relatively quiet operation of the electric motor, which negates the need for hearing protection.

Goal: Demonstrate the 9-ton splitter's ability to handle softwood (pine) at different speeds

and then we'll throw it on the 20-ton. All right. You know what's really cool about this is no hearing protection. It's not super loud. You could run this inside your house or shop. So, if it's snowing like crazy outside and you got a load of wood that needs splitting, you can bring it right in your shop. Now, we're going to make a mess today. This is a pine log. We're going to start with pine, then we're going to go to oak, and then we're going to put one of the big dogs, a big old knotty piece of sycamore on there. So, I have it in high speed right now. We're going to switch it back to low speed real quick. Be sure you wear your safety gear. Uh here we go. Let's engage. This is the first log this splitter has ever split. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] That's low speed. Retracting back. Now, let's go ahead and split it again. [Music] Okay. Moving on pretty good. [Music] [Applause] I will say that this does have a lower profile, so much lower than the standard log splitter you can stand up and operate. You may want to put this, I don't know, you I guess you could probably put it on a workbench. Just make sure it's secure if you want to get it up to a higher working height, or you can just get a little stool like this, sit down in the in your garage or in your shop or in your basement and just burp burp burp just get down there and relax and split a little bit of firewood. Very cool. So far, very impressed. That was two on the low speed. I do want you guys to know how many cycles you do get out of this. So, up to 9 tons of splitting force, up to 40 minutes of run time on low speed with a full 4.0 amp hour battery and up to 50 minutes of run time or 250 splits on high speed. That's pretty cool. All right. So, let's go ahead and finish this one up. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Cool. All right, we're going to have a big old mess out here. I like it. Let's just make a big mess. Okay, retract. Go ahead and get our next
