World’s FIRST DEWALT Battery Powered Log Splitter! You decide if it’s Tough Enough!

What happens here

Activate the 20-ton log splitter using its on/off switch. Operate the control lever to cycle the ram through its motion. Compare the speed of the ram in both low and high settings, noting the increased speed compared to the 9-ton model. Observe the auto-return function of the lever.

Goal: Understand the full operational range of the 20-ton log splitter

in there. Very cool. All right, so same setup with the other one, except for this is a 7 gallons per minute pump, and this is a 3.5, and that is a two-stage pump. So, as we cruise along, we've got a little log deck right here, where we put our logs on. Very nice. The slide basically just cruises right along here. There's a little lip. Much more robust, much larger um splitting wedge for bigger wood, I would honestly say. That is a smaller unit. I mean, you can clearly see it's a much, much smaller unit. So, as we continue to look over this machine, we've got an on-off switch, very similar to the other one. Right under here is where our hydraulic fluid goes to our pump from our tank. This is our storage tank here versus the other one has the storage tank built into um the framework. That's framework, but it's just a different type of tank, and it holds a lot more hydraulic fluid, clearly, because we've got a bigger machine. Now, the same thing with our handle right here. We can reach over. Let's turn it around. It's on low speed now. We'll extend it all the way out. Let's go ahead and switch her to high speed. There we go. Look at that. She'll get it now. We're going to return. [Music] We're going to turn to low and high. And it'll pop right back just like that. Pretty much just like any standard log splitter, except for it's electric. And I'm all about trying some new technology. So, without further ado, let's test the little guy, the 9-ton, and then we'll throw it on the 20-ton.
